And to make sure the blog is completely goals focused this week - here we have a February goal review and some new ones for March.
February
Walk 80km : Done! According to the record I've been keeping for the fitness challenge at work I've walked 61.5km since Feb 6th. I've also cycled 70km and taken one gym class. There's 4 days of the challenge left and I'm officially at 83km using their Gym class = 4km and 4km cycling = 1km walking rules. Awesome.
Go to a gym class at least once a week : Fail. I've been to two classes since February began. A change of routine at work, a lot of site work and long days have meant I just haven't got there. Back to normal tomorrow so hopefully next month goes smoother.
Try three new recipes : Done! Ginger biscuits, Mango cheesecake and Choc peppermint slice. Bonus - pizza.
Listen to one audiobook : Halfway there. I received The Prestige on audiobook for Christmas a few years ago. I had B convert it to mp3 for me and am listening to it on my iPod. I'm up to CD five - which is about halfway through. This is something I wouldn't have done if it wasn't for my Feb goal. I'm really enjoying the story (for the second time). The movie is great too - although quite different to the book.
Take a photo everyday : Done! 29/29 - although one day is just a blurry pic of our shopping list off the whiteboard to take to the supermarket. In the words of Stacy Julian - "It all counts."
March
Walk 80km : Yes, I'm trying this again. It's going to be harder now that I'm not out on site walking around most days and will require some effort. I am willing to continue counting gym classes and cycling towards my goal. Hopefully the four extra days in the month will help me reach this goal again under more difficult circumstances.
Go to a gym class at least once a week : I was unsuccessful last month, here's to trying again!
Try four new recipes : keeping up the cooking momentum. B goes back to uni in March so I'll probably be cooking again at night more often (but working shorter hours) which will give me more of a chance to play.
Read one and a half non-fiction books : I'm half way through The Now Habit and hope to finish it soon which will leave me time to start The Disappearing Spoon - a book I got half way through a couple of years ago and was really enjoying until I got distracted and put it down.
Take more people photos : I have very few photos of us since we got back from the US. I also realised that I've been avoiding taking pictures of other people as well... almost like I'm scared of the confrontation or something. I have plenty of pictures of sunrises, food, the lounge room and my desk, but the pictures of people are the ones I treasure. I'm going to make an effort to get more people in my photos this month.
Take a photo everyday : Keeping it up.
day eighteen : make goals for March
