cook:pancakes with sprinkles

At Guides this week, one of the girls was making her Promise. Usually we'll have cake, but neither of the leaders (we both work full time) had time to stop and pick one up, so we had pancakes instead.

In the past we tried adding tinned apple to the pancakes to make them a bit different. While the adults really liked them, most of the kids turned up their nose. Lesson learned. This time we added sprinkles instead. Much warmer reception. I thought they were pretty cool too.

We poured the batter into the fry pan then added the sprinkles on top. When we flipped them over they mixed into the pancakes more but that didn't really worry us - or the kids.
