make:mobile

This week at Guides the girls made some mobiles. We found the sheet in one of the many many resource folders in the hall. It was probably about as old as me and had some pictures relevant to Brownie Guides from the 1980s (they're now called Junior Guides). We talked a little bit about the history of Guiding and then put together the mobiles.

We had the girls colour in the pictures, then they glued a sheet of coloured card to the back of the colouring sheet. Then they cut out the pictures, punched a hole and used string to attach their pictures to a coat hanger. It took probably 40mins in total.

I enjoyed some colouring in as well. Sitting at the table like this with the girls is a good opportunity to talk to them. It's always cool to hear their latest stories and theories and perspective of the world.
